A History of Success, Credibility and Reliability

The company was established in 1992 while Walton Brown was undertaking a research consultancy with the National Drug Strategy in Bermuda. We conducted a series of student drug surveys and helped to formulate policy in a wide range of drug-related areas. Success in this area brought work from more Government departments, including the Ministries of Health and Education.

Our expansion into the private sector began with a detailed project for Cable & Wireless. This led to projects with almost all of the telecommunications companies on the island. Alongside this we began to consult with the financial services companies, including the three retail banks, a brokerage firm and the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Internationally we have undertaken research projects in the United States, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic. 

Research Innovations is the only polling company to accurately to predict the outcome of the past three general elections in Bermuda -- 1998, 2003 and 2007. 

Walton Brown is President of Research Innovations Limited. He holds degrees in political science from Queen's University (BA Hons) and York University (MA) and has been engaged in social and market research for more than 20 years.

He has been a lecturer at Bermuda College (1988-2000), a consultant to various Government Ministries and served on a number of private sector and Government boards.

In 2007 he was appointed to the Senate, Bermuda's Upper House, and made Junior Minister, Education, Energy, Telecommunications and E-Commerce.
